On September 12th TOUCH hosted a corn gleaning event at the A.T. Buzby farm for the Bayer Procurement Crop Science Team whose goal is to shape agriculture for farmers, consumers and the planet in general. What a fabulous event it turned out to be with GREAT weather, great volunteers, and a goal achieved of delivering five gaylords of fresh white corn to numerous households in Camden.
Participants from the Bayer team came from Iowa, Missouri, North Carolina, California and other states. Farmer Eric Buzby provided the fields, Bayer provided the volunteers and TOUCH provided the instruction and equipment for a successful day. Miguel’s Pharmacy was happy to receive the fresh produce and the Bayer team even help distribute right in Cramer Hill. Many thanks to the Gentle Giant folks that volunteered their services and trucked the corn from Woodstown to Camden.
