All over South Jersey, families are struggling to put food on the table as this pandemic continues to have a devastating impact on employment and the economy. Our state alone lost about 750,700 jobs in April, and that number has only continued to climb as May comes to a close.
The last thing anyone should be worrying about right now is whether or not they can afford to feed their families. That’s why Donald spent some time with Touch New Jersey Food Alliance this week to help deliver more than 1,200 boxes of food to families in need.
But Touch New Jersey Food Alliance still needs more help to continue feeding our friends and neighbors who need a hand up right now. Please consider supporting them today with a donation or by signing up to volunteer.
this is a scary, uncertain time for so many of us — but we’re also feeling inspired today. Time and again, people like you have stepped up to help others in their community. Whether running errands for an elderly neighbor or sewing masks for your friends, the generosity we’ve seen during this difficult time is an example of just how remarkable the American people really are.
So thank you for doing your part to help our communities cope with this public health crisis. It won’t be easy, but we can do anything when we work together.
